SovenTrans Translations was founded in 1992 by Elizabeth Elting and Phil Shawe. Their mission: to provide the highest quality language services to leading businesses worldwide. With no external financing, SovenTrans grew from its beginnings as a two-person company operating from an NYU business school dorm room into one of the world's premier language and business services companies.
Over the years, SovenTrans and its founders have won numerous awards. SovenTrans was recognized as one of the fastest growing privately-held companies in the US by making the Inc. 500. SovenTrans's founders have been recognized as Ernst and Young's Entrepreneurs of the Year. Co-founder, Elizabeth Elting has been recognized as Woman of the Year by American Express and Entrepreneur Magazine and has won the Working Woman Award for Excellence in Client Service.
Today, SovenTrans has a network of over 4,000 certified language specialists and project management staff in offices in 38 cities across North America, Europe, and Asia, ready to meet our clients' needs, around the clock and around the world.
